Engaging with Youth About Human Trafficking January '22

January 24, 2022 @ 2:00PM — 3:00PM Eastern Time (US & Canada)

Please join, Marya Simmons, the Director of Programming on January 24, 2022 at 2:00pm as she discusses engaging with youth about human trafficking. Communicating with our youth about topics such as; technology, social media, peer pressure, and healthy relationships can strengthen their ability to increase their safety and our efforts in the prevention of human trafficking. As a community, we have opportunities to empower youth, influence them to make positive decisions, build resiliency, and equip them with tools and resources that can keep them and others safe. Our ability to engage with youth, relies on our insight and knowledge on relevant issues that they are dealing with or have experienced. By identifying challenges that can impact effective communication and evaluating strategies to maximize our ability to educate and spread awareness on human trafficking with our youth, we can break through common barriers of engagement.
